Harry Styles’ Friends Reportedly ‘Alarmed’ at How ‘Quickly He Proposed’ as They ‘Worry’ He’s ‘Under’ Zoe Kravitz’s ‘Spell’
Things between Harry Styles and Zoe Kravitz moved pretty fast, even by celebrity standards. The two hadn’t even been dating for a year when reports of their engagement started coming out, and though the reaction from a lot of people has been joy, there are those that are concerned. If not about the decision, at least about the timeframe. They have only been dating since August of 2025, after all.
Now RadarOnline is reporting that those close to him are a little wary. “No one in Harry’s life is anti-Zoë,” an insider said. “In fact, she’s very well-liked by all his family and friends, but that doesn’t mean people aren’t alarmed by how quickly he’s proposed. They haven’t even been together a year, so it’s hard to understand what the rush is.

Everyone in Harry’s life seemingly would be happier if the couple decided to move at a more moderate pace. “Harry tends to burn very hot and then move on quickly so the fear is that he’s going to find himself in over his head once the honeymoon stage wears off,” a source added.
The two have had a number of high-profile relationships, with Styles dating Taylor Swift, Kendall Jenner and Camille Rowe, as well as Olivia Wilde and Taylor Russell. Kravitz was married to actor Karl Glusman from June 2019 until December 2020. She then moved on to Channing Tatum in 2021. They got engaged in 2023 and called it quits in 2025.
“Some people worry Harry is under Zoë’s spell and she’s influencing his decisions. Anyone who knows her will say she has very clear ideas about how she wants things to be,” the insider also explained. “But Harry is much more go with the flow. Pals fear he’ll ultimately feel very controlled, which won’t work for him long-term. People around Harry have seen this pattern before.
“He’ll build his world around someone and then suddenly have a change of heart.”
These sources don’t seem to believe love is the issue, just that the realities of the decision haven’t really hit the couple. And though not everyone is concerned about this, with some friends of Styles denying the reports, the insider went on to add, “The concern is that Harry hasn’t had the chance to take a step back and see how the relationship functions outside that bubble.”
Does this mean there’s trouble in paradise? Reportedly, not so. Just concern. “But Harry’s not open to advice right now. His friends don’t want to come across as unsupportive, so most people are congratulating him and hoping for the best,” the insider added.
Harry and Zoe have reportedly moved so fast that there were recently reports the two would expand their family soon. According to Page Six, the couple is expected to have a baby sooner rather than later. “He really wants a baby,” a source told the outlet in January. “He’s been telling his friends that.”
Styles recently told Zane Lowe and Apple Music in March 2026 that he was ready to settle down. “I want to be fulfilled and I want to be in great relationships with people. I want to have great friendships with people,” he said. “I want a family. I want these things. It just allowed me to go like, okay, what do I have to do to create space to allow these things to happen? I can’t just expect them to just happen to me.”
