King Charles and US President Donald Trump get along pretty well; that much has been proven by the recent state visit from Trump to the UK and Charles to the US. And before Charles just came to the US, there were reports that Trump was even looking to be the peacemaker between Charles and his son Harry, who lives in the US. That didn’t happen, but now there’s reportedly a new idea being floated around that could see Trump help that relationship, more or less.
RadarOnline is reporting that after learning he might be distantly related to King Charles, Trump was elated. On Truth Social, he posted, “Wow, that’s nice. I’ve always wanted to live in Buckingham Palace!!!” before adding, “I’ll talk to the King and Queen about this in a few minutes!!!” after a UK outlet reported he and Charles were distant cousins. And, perhaps this reveal will make it more likely he will agree to Charles’ reported request.

“The king and the president have become good friends at this point and routinely share private conversations about matters that are close to their hearts,” a source told the outlet, saying about the latest state visit, “This trip provided them with the opportunity to do just that about a number of matters, including Charles’ difficult situation with Harry.”
Charles is reportedly very eager not just to reconcile with his son, but to see his grandkids. And he’s reportedly willing to pull out the big guns to get Harry back to England. “They talked about it, agreeing it’s the elephant in the room that needs to be addressed before things slide any further out of hand,” the source said. “Charles laid it all on the table.”
One possibility to trigger that reconciliation? Harry being deported. A representative for Harry and Meghan denied the story, but the outlet reported that it would solve multiple problems for King Charles. “If he were to be deported… it would actually be the ideal situation from the royals’ point of view,” said the source, adding that even William couldn’t say anything about it. “If it happens this way nobody, even Prince William, can argue because it’s a solution that’s been forced on the family. Plus, if it gets Harry away from Meghan, that’s the ultimate win.”
Trump has proven he’s no fan of Harry or Meghan, so he could actually be on board. In a 2022 interview, Trump said about Harry, “Harry is whipped like no person I think I’ve ever seen,” Trump said. “I’m not a fan of Meghan, I’m not a fan, and I wasn’t right from the beginning. I think poor Harry is being led around by his nose.”
He also said the marriage would “end, and it’ll end bad.”
Last year, Trump seemed to indicate he wouldn’t try to deport Harry, saying, “I don’t want to do that,” and adding, “I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”
However, just a few weeks ago, Daily Mail columnist Richard Eden alleged that Trump recently made an “interesting comment” to a British visitor about Harry, saying, “Can you take him back?”
So far, it doesn’t look like Harry is leaving the US. But stranger things have happened.
