Nicole Kidman finalized her divorce from country singer Keith Urban in January 2026, and she hasn’t taken any time off to deal with the heartbreak.
The Oscar-winning actress has remained fully devoted to her career, starring in the hit series Lioness (2023–present), as well as 2026 releases Scarpetta and Margo’s Got Money Troubles. Kidman’s also set to return to the big screen in Practical Magic 2, slated to hit theaters on Sept. 11, 2026, along with the horror film The Young People.
With her schedule jam-packed, sources say those close to Kidman are worried she may be pushing herself too hard amid a difficult time in her personal life.
“Nicole is a master at putting up a front and getting on with things – no matter how much she’s breaking inside,” an insider told RadarOnline in May 2026, adding that she’s “been through so much” in the last two years. Not only did her mother, Janelle Ann Kidman, pass away in September 2024, but one year later, her 19-year marriage to Urban came to an end.
“She’s worked at a feverish pace through it all,” the source said. “Working is part of her coping mechanism for sure. She can lose herself in her characters. It’s what makes her such an exceptional actor – but it’s not necessarily healthy.
According to the source, close friends of Kidman are “very worried” about her, as there are concerns her health may have declined in recent months.
“She’s got huge dark circles under her eyes from the lack of sleep, and she’s thinner than ever,” they explained. “She needs a solid break to really face some of the tough emotions and honestly just rest – but she doesn’t seem to want to slow down. It’s like she’s afraid to stop, but the worry is that she’s going to run herself into the ground.”
