Nicole Kidman is keeping her “revenge dress” era going strong. After turning heads in a strapless pale pink gown at the 2026 Oscars, she’s done it again—this time making a statement at the 2026 Met Gala in another jaw-dropping look.
As a co-chair of this year’s Met Gala, Kidman arrived—with her daughter Sunday Rose—on Monday, May 4, in a striking drop-waist red sequin gown with feathered detailing. The bold crimson look felt less like a love letter and more like a declaration of pure power. Confident, unapologetic, and very much a statement of someone thriving in the aftermath of a breakup.

This appearance also marked Kidman’s first Met Gala since finalizing her divorce from singer Keith Urban after 19 years of marriage. The Oscar-winning actress filed in September 2025, citing irreconcilable differences. The former couple last walked the Met Gala red carpet together in 2024, when they appeared very much in love, with Urban visibly smitten as they posed for photos.

Kidman’s decision to bring Sunday Rose along also comes after the teenager briefly unfollowed Urban on Instagram. She has since followed him back, though Rob Shuter claimed on his Naughty But Nice Substack that Urban was reportedly left “hurt” by the move.
A source told Shuter that Urban knew “this wasn’t just about Instagram. It was personal.” Another insider accused Sunday Rose of knowing “exactly what she was doing” when she unfollowed the country music star, adding, “It was a pointed move, and Keith got the message loud and clear.”
Kidman reportedly intervened quickly, encouraging Sunday Rose to de-escalate things before the social media moment spiraled into something more complicated. “Nicole was the one who told her to take the high road and cut it out,” one source said, noting that the Babygirl actress emphasized with Sunday Rose but believed “making it public would only make things worse.”
