Gigi Hadid Shows Underboob in Naked Met Gala Dress as Bradley Cooper’s Ex Irina Shayk Also Leaves Little to the Imagination
At the 2026 Met Gala, model Gigi Hadid arrived in a custom Miu Miu “naked” dress that immediately became one of the night’s most-talked about looks.
The black gown is completely sheer and covered in shimmering crystals, layered with flame-inspired patchwork detailing and soft floral embroidery inspired by the brand’s Spring/Summer 2011 archive. It’s see-through effect makes the styling intentionally provocative, revealing her chest and nude thong underneath while still maintaining a high-fashion finish that fit the “Fashion Is Art” dress code.
Hadid finished the look with soft makeup, keeping the focus on the gown. She told Vogue, “It is something that really brings the story of romance. It’s like a girl running out of a romantic, foggy, moonlit garden where she just had an amazing night with the love of her life,” a comment that could read as a possible nod to her relationship with Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper.
Also in attendance at the 2026 Met Gala is Cooper’s ex, Irina Shayk, whom he dated from 2015 to 2019. The former couple welcomed a daughter, Lea De Seine Shayk Cooper, in March 2017.
Shayk walked the carpet at the Met Gala in a two-piece Alexander Wang “naked” look built around a watch-inspired concept. Her tiny bra top appeared constructed from tennis bracelets and layered necklaces, held together with gold watch straps and anchored by a watch face. Diamond pasties covered her nipples.
Extending the motif, the supermodel wore coordinating gold and silver watch bands on her upper arms, along with chokers and necklaces that echoed her timepiece theme, including one chain that fell to her belly button. She completed the look with a long, low-waisted black skirt.
Hadid and Cooper first sparked dating rumors in October 2023, when they were spotted on a dinner date in New York City.
According to a 2023 report from The Messenger (via StyleCaster), Shayk reportedly introduced Hadid and Cooper. “Gigi was introduced to Bradley through Irina and their mutual friends in the industry,” a source said. “Gigi and Irina have been close over the years while working together, and Gigi and Bradley have hung out before, but it has always been friendly in social settings. Gigi and Bradley were in touch recently, and were bonding over their daughters when Bradley asked her out.”
The source continued, “He pursued her and she was definitely interested and excited. … They have a lot in common, and both relate to being parents in the industry.”
Hadid and Cooper have been seen together several times since then, including on weekend getaways—and they even made their romance Instagram official in May 2025. For her 30th birthday, Hadid shared a carousel of photos, including one of her and Cooper kissing in front of her cake.
