Heated Rivalry‘s Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams did not come to play for their first Met Gala. The actors, who play Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander in the hockey romance TV series, attended the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute on Monday, May 4, in skin-baring looks.

The theme of the 2026 Met Gala is “Costume Art” with a dress code of “Fashion Is Art.” For the event, Storrie wore a black Saint Laurent suit paired with a high-ruffled polka-dot turtleneck blouse in black and white, which was accompanied by a jeweled brooch.

The look was completed with a floor-length train in the same polka-dot fabric. Halfway through the Met Gala red carpet, Storrie, who’s an ambassador for Saint Laurent, took off his suit jacket to show off his arms in his sleeveless blouse. The outfit was designed by Saint Laurent’s creative director Anthony Vaccarello and styled by James Yardley.

Williams, for his part, was seen leaving The Mark hotel on the Upper East Side neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, in a Frette Unito Shawl Collar Bathrobe ($475) and colorful makeup.

Hudson Williams Met Gala 2026

For the actual Met Gala red carpet, Williams wore a shirtless Balenciaga matador-inspired look designed by Pierpaolo Piccioli that consisted of a power-blue, two-piece suit. The suit was made up of a bolero jacket and folded over trousers. His jacket was left open, showing off Williams’ Heated Rivalry-trained abs.

“Usually, it’s reference-based,” Williams told Harper’s Bazaar in 2025 months before the Met Gala about the inspiration for his red carpet fashion. “I have a wide palette of different celebrities I like. We say, like, ‘Maybe here I could do a Tyler, The Creator thing. Maybe we could work toward that. Maybe here we do like a Jacob Elordi thing or John F. Kennedy Jr. or Princess Diana.’ We got, like, Zoë Kravitz. There’s just a lot of pulls that I like.”

He added, “I love accessories. I sometimes just like garish looks, you know, with just a little frippery and fun. It’s just another way to express yourself, and it doesn’t have to be too serious. There’s this one Brad Pitt photo shoot, I think for Fight Club, where he has these slutty little gloves and he’s in a pink dress. And I always thought that was the coolest photo shoot I’d ever seen. I just like fun.”
