Fashion’s biggest night out is almost here, as celebrities from across music, film, TV, sports, and fashion prepare to gather at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the 2026 Met Gala.

Taking place on Monday, May 4, this year’s event will center around the theme “Costume Art,” setting the stage for yet another highly anticipated showcase of artistry and couture.

The co-chairs are Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour, and joining them are A-list guests like Sabrina Carpenter, Sam Smith, Teyana Taylor, and many more high-profile attendees.

Still, amid the growing excitement, one question remains: Is BTS attending the 2026 Met Gala?

Is BTS attending the 2026 Met Gala?

As of this writing, it’s unclear if BTS is attending the 2026 Met Gala—but their presence would certainly bring a lot of attention to the fundraising event.

The globally beloved K-pop group—made up of RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook—reunited in March 2026 after a four-year hiatus. Since then, they released their new album “Arirang” on March 20 and embarked on the accompanying world tour in Asia on April 9.

BTS is currently preparing to bring the tour to the United States, with back-to-back shows scheduled at Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso on May 2 and 3. The band will then have a short break before heading to Mexico City for a series of concerts beginning May 7.

With this brief gap in their touring schedule, there’s technically room for BTS to potentially fit attending the Met Gala into their jam-packed itinerary.

It would certainly be a tight turnaround, and those days between shows are usually intended for rest and recovery, but other stars have made space for appearances of this magnitude. Pop princess Tate McRae, for example, still took the stage at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards while in the middle of her sold-out “Miss Possessive” arena tour.

Whether or not the timing ultimately works out, anticipation within the BTS ARMY remains high for a long-awaited Met Gala debut, and we hope to see them walk the red carpet.
