As former Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson‘s friendship with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein continues to draw renewed attention, the pair have been largely shut out by the royal family. There are reports of a shift in their relationship with their daughters, Princess Eugenie and Beatrice, alongside claims that Andrew and Fergie aren’t invited to his nephew’s wedding.
On May 14, The Daily Mail reported that it’s highly “unlikely” Andrew will attend his nephew Peter Phillips‘ wedding to his fiancée, Harriet Sperling, on Saturday, June 6. A friend of the couple spoke with Hello! magazine and alleged that Fergie didn’t make the guest list either.

“Peter and Harriet’s wedding is an intimate occasion with their close friends and immediate family around them in the Cotswolds. It’s an area where they grew up and is very special to them both,” the source said.
They added, “When and whether Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Sarah Ferguson had been invited, it was probably not deemed appropriate to invite them. It’s Peter and Harriet’s special day, and clearly their attendance would cause a distraction to the whole day.”
Meanwhile, this reported exclusion comes amid claims that Princess Anne—Peter’s mother and Andrew’s sister—has reached her breaking point with the embattled ex-prince. In October 2025, royal expert and author Christopher Andersen told Us Weekly that Anne’s “as fed up with Andrew as Charles and William are,” noting that she’s “long sided with the King.”
Around the same time, RadarOnline reported that Andrew was seemingly bothered by Anne’s strong reputation. “Anne represents everything the monarchy is supposed to stand for – hard work and respect,” a palace aide said. “For Andrew, who has lost all of that, it’s a bitter pill to swallow.”
“What stings Andrew is knowing Anne is praised as the family’s most respected royal, while his name is tied only to disgrace. It eats away at him,” another insider revealed.
