Congratulations are in order for Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, as they are expecting their third child together. The couple announced the happy news on Monday, May 4, 2026, and a statement from Buckingham Palace confirmed Eugenie’s due date is “this summer.”

“August (aged 5) and Ernest (aged 2) are also very excited to have another sibling join the family,” the statement said. “His Majesty The King has been informed and is delighted with the news.”

Eugenie also made her own announcement via Instagram, posting a photo of her and Jack’s sons holding an ultrasound image of their sibling. “Baby Brooksbank due 2026! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️👶🏻♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️,” she captioned the photo.

This exciting news comes at challenging time for Eugenie’s family, as her parents, former Prince Andrew and Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, were stripped of their royal titles after the Epstein files revealed their alleged close ties with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Fergie has since gone into hiding for the sake of her daughters and grandkids, but royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told Express in a May 4 report that she “will undoubtedly be delighted” to learn of Eugenie’s latest pregnancy.

However, Fitzwilliams claimed Fergie has been issued a major warning: She has to “keep a low profile” and stay out of Eugenie’s life due to the controversy.

“There may be possibilities for interviews if she decides to go down that path, but there are no comeback possibilities after recent events,” Fitzwilliams explained. “Taking a backseat isn’t in her nature, but for Eugenie’s sake, she has no choice.”

Since being evicted from the Royal Lodge, Fergie has been staying at a luxury chalet in Austria, where she’s reportedly been “spending money like there’s no tomorrow.” She’s racked up “an enormous amount of debt,” and Eugenie and Beatrice allegedly fear they’ll have to step in and help support their mother financially.

“Andrew isn’t going to hand over a dime to cover her bills so it’s all going on her credit cards which are already maxed out,” a source told Heat World. “It’s so frustrating for her girls because they could be the ones that have to bail her out.”

The source noted that Eugenie and Beatrice are “begging” Fergie to “face the facts and adjust her life accordingly”—but she doesn’t want to listen to them. “She’s in total denial mode,” they added. “More than anything else, Sarah sees no reason why she should have to rein it in.”
