The last few months have been complicated for Princess Eugenie, to say the least. Her father, Andrew, was stripped of his titles and evicted from his home at Royal Lodge, then arrested for suspicion of misconduct in public office. Her mother, Sarah Ferguson, featured heavily in the Epstein files. And both Eugenie and her sister Beatrice have had to contend with rumors that their marriages are suffering because of the scandals.

But one new announcement from Eugenie puts her marriage and her plans for the near future in perspective. The princess is expecting her third baby with husband Jack Brooksbank. But when is the baby due, and what do we know about the newest royal?

When’s Princess Eugenie’s Due Date For Baby 3?

Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, are expecting their third baby, due in summer 2026.  The couple has not yet announced if it’s a boy or a girl, and they have given no specifics about when exactly the baby is due. They have two sons already, August, age 5, and Ernest, age 2.

Eugenie’s post was captioned: “Baby Brooksbank due 2026!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️👶🏻♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️,”

Buckingham Palace released a statement that read, “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their third child together, due this summer.”

“August (aged 5) and Ernest (aged 2) are also very excited to have another sibling join the family,” the statement continued. “His Majesty The King has been informed and is delighted with the news.”

This comes after some conflicting reports about the couple’s marriage. “Eugenie’s husband is said to be standing by his wife amid the ensuing Epstein scandal—but refuses to allow disgraced Sarah Ferguson to move into the family home,” the Daily Mail reported.

Andrew moved to the Sandringham estate after he was evicted, but Sarah Ferguson did not move with him and has reportedly been staying in different wellness retreats ever since she left her home at Royal Lodge.

“His first loyalty has to be to his wife and their two young children. The whole sordid affair has already brought them a great deal of unwarranted attention and he won’t do anything to increase that,” a source told the outlet.

But this is reportedly not a unilateral decision, as Eugenie wants to protect her family and doesn’t want her mom around full-time. “Sarah is difficult to live with and they don’t want the responsibility of looking after her at the moment,” a source alleged. “That’s not to say they are not concerned about her welfare—they just don’t actually want her to be living with them, even temporarily.”

This new announcement from Princess Eugenie makes it clear why she and her husband are prioritizing peace and staying away from the family drama. Now the only question is if the family drama will grow to a point where they cannot avoid it, or if she’ll be able to stay mostly uninvolved as she has been until now.
