Harry & Meghan’s Friends Reportedly Have ‘Real Fear’ Their ‘Marriage Won’t Survive’ After the Couple’s Most Explosive Fight Yet

Reports about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s marriage are always swirling. It’s sometimes hard to know when to take them seriously and when not to, as most celebrity couples face breakup rumors. Prince William and Kate Middleton have to face them seemingly every month or so. And even King Charles and Queen Camilla are faced with these speculations. But new reports indicate that everything we’ve been hearing about Harry and Meghan for months might be coming together, and things are not looking good.
RadarOnline reported from sources that, “People in their world are starting to have very real fears that the marriage will not survive,” and “The tension is getting worse all the time.”

Speculation began swirling after flirty messages between Harry and Mail on Sunday journalist Charlotte Griffiths were revealed during his unlawful information gathering court case against the outlet’s publisher, Associated Newspapers Limited. Though the texts were from years before Harry and Meghan met, there were reports that Markle wasn’t happy about the renewed spotlight they would mean, and the reputational problem they presented.
Previous reports indicated the reveal of the messages was “embarrassing” for the couple, but especially for Markle, who was left “humiliated” and “blindsided” by their release. “Naturally, she’s wondering what else he may have hidden from her. Truth is paramount to Markle, so him being dishonest or at best evasive about his past is hitting her hard,” sources said.
But above all, sources say the problem is about trust. The couple has fostered a “‘us against the world’ mantra that’s defined their marriage,” and this “has given her cause to question that. It’s dramatically affected her level of trust.”
Reps for Harry and Meghan have denied there is any rift, but the questions remain. Particularly about their partnership. “Meghan is very much the boss in the relationship. She controls almost every aspect of Harry’s life both personally and professionally,” said a source. “And the way she’s bulldozing ahead with putting the kids on social media is a prime example of Meghan doing what she wants, whether Harry likes it or not.”
Reportedly, this is bringing back bad memories for Harry. “It’s triggering. As a kid, he hated it when he and [brother Prince William] were forced to pose for photographers during their private moments,” said the source. “The fact that his own kids are now being trotted out by Meghan in a similar fashion is not OK with him, but ultimately, what can he do? This [is] how Meghan controls him.”
The conversation has become incredibly important as Harry has tried to return to the fold of the royal family, or at least, to foster a closer relationship with his father. He met with King Charles in September last year, and there were reports that the two were trying to find another date for a meeting—one that would involve Harry’s kids, who Charles hasn’t seen in years.
