Nicole Kidman Using Revenge Style to Show Keith ‘What He’s Missing’ as She Gets Ready to Date Again—She’s ‘Rubbing in His Face’
Since her divorce from country music star Keith Urban, actress Nicole Kidman has been embracing a bold new era of revenge dressing. She first turned heads at the 2026 Oscars in a soft pink strapless gown, then drew attention again at the 2026 Met Gala in a custom red sequined and feathered dress.
Her fashion choices in recent months have marked a noticeable shift, and insiders told OK! that Kidman’s using revenge style to reinvent her image and step into a more independent and empowered version of herself.
“Nicole is using fashion as a form of expression right now—the bolder, more daring looks feel like a conscious statement of autonomy, almost as if she is reclaiming her identity on her own terms with a punk rock-type, edgier aesthetic after the end of a long marriage,” one source explained.
Another added, “The styling choices have an edge that was not always present before—it carries a kind of defiant energy, as though she is signaling not just that she has moved on, but that she is thriving in a way that is impossible to ignore. And she looks great, which is also rubbing Keith’s face in what he is missing by not being with her anymore.”
This comes amid reports that Kidman’s also been opening up to her friends about possibly finding love again. A source close to Kidman told People in February 2026 that she’s “had conversations with close friends … about dating,” but at the moment, she’s “not rushing” into it.
“She’s in a really good place now,” they continued, adding that Kidman “doesn’t feel any pressure. But when she’s ready she will rely on her close circle to make introductions. She’s not someone who would jump into anything randomly.”
For now, she’s “focused on the things that make her happy, like family and work.”
Kidman and Urban got married in June 2006 and welcomed two daughters together: Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret. In September 2025, news broke that the couple had separated after 19 years of marriage. At the time, an insider told People that Kidman “didn’t want this” and had “been fighting to save the marriage.”
But just one day after the news of their separation broke, Kidman filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their breakup. The divorce was finalized in early January 2026.
