There are a lot of rumors and theories about President Donald Trump’s youngest son, Barron. Part of it is that he is the least public of the Trump kids, and people don’t really know anything about him. Another big part is that he’s started to be more present, and yet remains very tight-lipped. Plus, people are just always interested in the family of any sitting President.
But one of the most outlandish theories about the youngest Trump has now been shot down by someone who would know. Lara Trump, the wife of Barron’s oldest brother Eric Trump, addressed one particular Barron conspiracy in the latest episode of her show The Right View with Lara Trump.

What’s the theory? Well, according to some people, Barron Trump is able to move through time. Yes, some believe Barron to be a time-traveler. Lara, however, put that to rest. “I’m not trying to ruin anybody or rain on any parades here,” she said. “Barron Trump is not a time traveler. Sorry to say it. I’m sorry, I broke a lot of people’s hearts today.”
She went on to use something that these days feels like is missing from political discourse, common sense. “Name me one time traveler. Name me anybody who actually can say that that’s a real thing? It doesn’t exist but people have gotten so far off the rails on this ‘Barron being a time traveler’ thing,” she added.
But she didn’t just rely on common sense, but also threw in some lived experience. “I’ve known Barron for 18 years, OK, he’s not a time traveler. I’ve seen him grow up, it’s crazy stuff, but I think people love to grab on to conspiracies or things that are very far-fetched like that.”
Why do people even believe Barron Trump could be a time traveler? You can blame a very old book for it. In the late 1800s, author Ingersoll Lockwood wrote two children’s books focused on a wealthy young adventurer named Wilhelm Heinrich Sebastian Von Troomp, referred to as Baron Trump.
Yes, it’s missing one r, but close enough for people. Ironically, the character lives at a place called Castle Trump and embarks on several journeys in The Travels and Adventures of Little Baron Trump and his Wonderful Dog Bulger (1889) and Baron Trump’s Marvellous Underground Journey (1893).
Lara Trump had previously suggested on her show that the public attention is why Barron Trump isn’t as public as his siblings. “I don’t know if he knows the internet is obsessed with him. I think he knows there’s a lot of interest, but that’s why he likes to lay low,” she said back in April. “That’s why he plays it cool, that’s why you don’t see him all the time.”
“I say this all the time, I feel like he’s a sleeper, like you want to hear more about Barron because you see less of him, and I think that’s kind of cool,” she added.
“He knows what’s going on out there. He’s up on all of it.”
