When you’re as big as Taylor Swift, you find ways to protect your privacy. And if recent reports are to be believed, Swift is taking an unusual approach to wedding planning, especially in delivering invitations to her guests. Not at all surprising considering the singer’s wedding to Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce is considered the social event of the year.

One guest who has confirmed their attendance is Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid. No surprise here. Kelce does have to invite his coach.  During an episode of “The Fan,” he was asked if he’d received an invitation, and answered, “I probably have.”

He also joked, “If I don’t outgrow my tuxedo before then, I’m going.” Though jokes aside, we’re pretty sure Reid could afford a new one even if he does.

Reid also said he was “so happy” for the two, and added, “When [it] really comes down to it, it doesn’t matter how big the show is around them,” and, “They’re in love and that’s the most important thing.”

The wedding is reportedly taking place in New York City on July 3, and some reports indicate that Swift’s friends, Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid, are part of her bridal party. Some of the people expected to attend include Graham Norton and Zoë Kravitz. Norton teased his attendance during a January episode of his podcast, saying, “I can say nothing. I’ve signed so many NDAs.”

He later clarified it was a joke, but Swift had mentioned Norton would be invited the last time she was on his show. However, since Page Six reported that save-the-dates had been sent, it seems the couple has changed the method of delivering invitations: they’re now calling people directly. At least they can control leaks that way.

TMZ is reporting that Swift herself has been handling some of the calls, with her team handling others. The outlet also reports that guests are being told to prepare for the wedding, but no details have been given just yet in an effort to make sure things don’t leak.

All of this comes after recent reports by Hollywood Insider Rob Shuter that Swift has commissioned not one wedding dress, but six. “There are multiple gowns standing by,” one insider told Shuter. “Taylor could wear one dress the entire night, or she could change several times. At this point, every option is on the table.”

Of course, since this is Taylor Swift, it seems like she is trying to play 3D chess. “Some of the dresses are deliberate decoys,” the insider explained. “The goal is to confuse people, stop leaks, and make sure nobody figures out the real look ahead of time.”

And just like with details of the wedding venue and even date, we probably won’t know for sure until it happens. “Every designer involved signed ironclad NDAs,” another source said. “No photos, no sketches, no fitting details — absolutely nothing is allowed to leak. Taylor wants complete control over the reveal.”

This wedding is being handled like a major Hollywood production,” the source explained. “And Taylor is personally overseeing every single detail.”
