Even though Blake Lively already settled her years-long legal dispute with Justin Baldoni, she doesn’t seem ready to move on just yet.

TMZ reported on May 11 that Lively asked the court for permission to file more briefs and submit additional information as she claims she deserves reimbursement for attorney fees and damages connected to the It Ends With Us director’s defamation lawsuit against her.

Lively’s team already filed motions on this earlier in the case but wanted the opportunity to present more arguments and evidence. However, the judge overseeing Lively and Baldoni’s legal battle seemed completely exhausted by the back-and-forth and ended up denying the request. According to the judge, he didn’t need to read anything else from either side before making his decision.

This comes after court filings via The New York Times confirmed Lively didn’t receive any money as part of the settlement she reached with Baldoni and his production company. Still, the agreement had left the door open for the Gossip Girl alum to seek damages and legal fees—though that option appears to be unavailable for the time being.

The settlement came just weeks before the messy case was set to go to trial in New York. It was confirmed in a joint statement issued by Lively and Baldoni’s legal teams.

“The end product—the movie It Ends With Us—is a source of pride to all of us who worked to bring it to life,” the statement read. “Raising awareness, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors—and all survivors—is a goal that we stand behind.”

The statement continued, “We acknowledge the process presented challenges and recognize concerns raised by Ms. Lively deserved to be heard. We remain firmly committed to workplaces free of improprieties and unproductive environments. It is our sincere hope that this brings closure and allows all involved to move forward constructively and in peace, including a respectful environment online.”
