Eugenie Reportedly ‘Desperate’ to Stay on Charles’ ‘Good’ Side as Source Reveals the Real Reason Her Parents Weren’t Included in Her Pregnancy Announcement
The hierarchy of the British royal family is very clear, and with Andrew and Fergie in the middle of another Epstein-related scandal, it’s easy to see why people would want to distance themselves from them. And yes, that includes their daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
Eugenie, who just announced she was pregnant with her third child, might be the one taking clearer steps towards cutting out her parents. The princess and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, shared the news of the new pregnancy with an Instagram post featuring their sons, August (aged 5), and Ernest (aged 2), holding a sonogram. “Baby Brooksbank due 2026!” she wrote.

Nice, family-focused. No drama. The drama came, however, when we read what the statement from Buckingham Palace said.
“Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their third child together, due this summer,” the statement read.
“August (aged 5) and Ernest (aged 2) are also very excited to have another sibling join the family,” the statement continued. “His Majesty The King has been informed and is delighted with the news.” No mention of Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.
Star Magazine is reporting that this is very much a deliberate message from King Charles. “Eugenie has been very affected by this ongoing turmoil,” a source told the magazine. “It’s totally engulfed her life.”
Which is why the announcement from Buckingham Palace was such a big deal for her. “It means so much for her that she’s still in good standing with the royals,” says the source. “That’s something she’s desperate to preserve.”
However, “The ongoing scandal has tinged her pregnancy joy,” the source added. “Eugenie would love to celebrate this news with her parents — she still loves them very much — but that isn’t appropriate, at least not publicly.”
Reportedly, Eugenie has taken this to heart. “Andrew found out that he was to be a grandpa again via Sarah,” a source told the Daily Mail. The outlet also reported Eugenie hasn’t talked to her father since October 2025.
“Sarah is in hiding, so it wouldn’t have been appropriate for her to talk about the expected baby publicly,” a friend of Ferguson said. “But of course, she was one of the first to hear the news, directly from Eugenie. They spoke at length. This is what mothers and daughters do.”
Her father is a different story. The Daily Mail also reported that Eugenie has “cut off” her father and is “refusing to speak to Andrew and did not visit him at Christmas,” with another source adding, “There is no contact at all, nothing.
