Ever since Andrew was arrested for suspicion of misconduct in public office and Fergie’s deep ties to Epstein were reported, one of the biggest questions in the UK has been what will happen to Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. Will they continue to represent the royal family? Will they distance themselves from their parents? And how will this affect their lives and marriages?
Well, Princess Beatrice’s husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, has finally broken his social media silence after rumors that his marriage to Beatrice is on the rocks, and he did so for a very funny reason: to celebrate his team. That’s right, Mapelli Mozzi returned to X after a while to celebrate Arsenal’s Premier League title by reposting the team’s announcement.

He hadn’t posted in the platform since July of 2025, when he reposted an announcement that he and Beatrice had become patrons for the Chartered College of Teaching. The last time he made his own post was in May 2025. So, no news on the marriage, but Mapelli Mozzi is clearly still celebrating.

Despite stepping back from X, Mapelli Mozzi has continued posting on Instagram.
He has been a fan of Arsenal for a while and was seen at Emirates Stadium earlier this year attending the team’s Champions League match with Bayer Leverkusen. His son Wolfie is reportedly also a fan.
Ironically, reports had indicated Mapelli Mozzi and Prince William had developed a friendship based on their love for football. William is a fan of Birmingham-based Aston Villa.
This all comes after Closer Magazine recently reported that Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, who share two daughters together, were having some marriage issues in the wake of the scandal involving Beatrice’s parents. “Edo wants Beatrice to draw a line in the sand with her parents. From his perspective, creating some distance is the only thing to do right now if they want to save their own skins but Beatrice isn’t willing to do it,” the report said.
Beatrice’s sister, Princess Eugenie, has reportedly been much more willing to put some distance between herself and her parents.
“Despite everything that’s happened, she still feels a deep sense of loyalty to her parents, she’s not willing to turn her back on them and she resents Edo for even suggesting it,” the source said. “To him it’s a matter of survival and he’s telling friends she’s making a huge mistake, he’s clearly pretty angry about it so unless one of them suddenly changes course, it could cause some serious problems within their marriage.”
So how are they doing? “Beatrice is panicking and has told friends she’s worried that he’s pulling away. She’s saying this is all her parents’ fault, that things were perfect between her and Edo before they turned the family name radioactive. She says they’ve ruined nearly every aspect of life and now it’s threatening her marriage,” they added, alleging that “things between her and Edo are hanging by a thread.”
In public, at least, Mapelli Mozzi is still putting on a brave face and celebrating his team’s achievement.
