Drama is to be expected when you divorce your wife and very soon, or maybe even before, move on with your much younger co-star. And Hugh Jackman has found himself in the midst of many less-than-favorable reports since he and his ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, went their separate ways. But how is their relationship doing? And Jackman’s new relationship with actress Sutton Foster?

Foster was recently part of a Women’s Health Lab panel called ‘The Science of Staying Strong: Longevity, Movement & Resilience’ to discuss how to actively fight stress. Foster leads retreats at Canyon Ranch and talked about the importance of fitness for longevity. “I have a side hustle as a fitness instructor at a wonderful place in the city called The Limit,” she shared. “It is not only a place where I get physically strong, but I feel like it pushes me to a limit where I go, if I can do this, I can do anything.”

However, she also explained that feeling strong is a “daily struggle” and something she has to work at every day. “I’m like, ‘Do I feel strong today?’” she said. “It’s a constant thing.”

She also explained the wellness retreats at Canyon Ranch, sharing that she ran into someone she went to elementary school with there, who asked if she would want to lead the retreat. “I was like, ‘Sure.’ But I thought, ‘Who am I to lead a wellness retreat?’” she said.

But later, that turned into, “Who am I not to?”

Her retreat, “Leading Women,” draws on her experience. “I’ve been a leading lady for a long time…but often I feel really alone,” she said. “I reached out to a lot of my contemporaries last year, and a lot of the women on Broadway, and we all are usually on our own. Everyone shared the commonality of loneliness.”

She added, “Women of power can actually support each other, and we don’t have to be pitted against each other,” and, “There’s room for more than just one of us.”

And as for stress, well, she has a hack. “I do take a bath every single night,” she said. “I like candles, I have little fake glow candles, too, that change colors. It’s my favorite thing ever. I love a twinkly light.”

This comes after a May 18 report from New Idea, which said that Jackman’s ex is finally ready to sit down with Jackman’s new girlfriend, hoping that the meeting will bring some “much-needed peace” to everyone involved. “This isn’t about Deb being angry or wanting to read Sutton the riot act,” one source said. “It’s about closure.”

Reportedly, Furness had refused to be in the same room as the couple for all this time, but now feels it’s time to move on, and the only way to do so is by having a conversation. And Jackman and Foster are reportedly open to meeting with her.

Perhaps this might be a good thing for Jackman, too, as recent reports had indicated he’d become increasingly isolated in Hollywood. A source previously told Globe that Jackman was “becoming increasingly angry over the feeling that more and more people in Hollywood are quietly turning against him.”

“He blames Deb for it 100% and says there’s been a steady drip of poison behind the scenes from her and her camp,” the source continued, adding that Jackman believes that his friends, including Nicole Kidman, are “ditching him for Deb.”

A May 2026 report from Woman’s Day stated that Kidman’s “loyalty has to be with Deb as she’s been a shoulder for her many times throughout the past three years.”

Can they all bury the hatchet?
