Fashion’s most anticipated night is nearly here, as the 2026 Met Gala returns to its storied home at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday, May 4.
This year’s theme, “Costume Art,” ties directly to the museum’s spring 2026 exhibition, while the dress code—“Fashion Is Art”— invites designers and guests to blur the boundaries between clothing and art in bold, expressive ways.
As always, former Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour is steering the night as co-chair, continuing her decades-long influence over the glamorous event. Joining her as co-chairs are music icon Beyoncé, renowned actress Nicole Kidman, and tennis superstar Venus Williams. Jeff Bezos and his wife, Lauren Sánchez Bezos, will serve as honorary co-chairs for the night.
