• Raven Symone and Lindsay Lohan

After becoming friends during a Vanity Fair cover shoot, Lohan and Symone decided to room together. However, in an interview with Us Weekly, the “That’s So Raven” actress revealed that the situation wasn’t the typical roommate experience.

“She paid rent, and she was there probably three times,” Symone said. “She had her clothes in the apartment we were supposed to live in together.”

  • Justin Long and Jonah Hill

For awhile, the “Accepted” costars tried out the roommate thing before they realized they were incompatible. Believe it or not, the tension came from Hill’s dedication to recycling.

“Jonah would recycle everything,” Long said. “We started getting in little fights—he left the bathroom door open, didn’t clean up after himself. Little things like that.”

  • Milo Ventimiglia and Penn Badgley

For Badgley, the 10-year age difference between him and his roomie paid off. In an interview with Bullet magazine, the “Gossip Girl” star admitted that his similar looks with Ventimiglia helped him sneak into bars while using his older roomie’s ID.

“When I was 18, my roommate was Milo Ventimiglia, who was 28 at the time,” he said. “I used to borrow his ID to get into bars. I’ve still got it somewhere.”

  • Andrew Garfield, Eddie Redmayne, Jamie Dornan

When they were first starting out in Hollywood, the three British actors roomed together in Los Angeles. The friendship was organic and born out of seeing each other in the same auditions over and over. Of course, money was also tough, but the actors found their way.

“We used to go to the Standard Hotel in West Hollywood, and split a sandwich between us because that meant we could get cheaper parking,” Dornan told Variety.

  • Jude Law and Ewan McGregor

Early in their career, the British actors shared a bunk bed before taking their relationship to the next level in 1997 when co-founded the British film and theater production company, Natural Nylon.

  • Wes Anderson and Owen Wilson

Before they teamed up for films like “The Royal Tenenbaums” and “The Grand Budapest Hotel,” Anderson and Wilson were roommates at the University of Texas at Austin, where the two lived in the same dorm.
