It’s a Millennial dream come true: Hilary Duff is back and going on a highly anticipated world tour—which, TBH, was probably manifested by every 30-something woman and LGBTQ+ person nostalgic for simpler, more whimsical times.
As someone who came of age in the early 2000s, I had the Lizzie McGuire star as my original style, beauty—basically everything—influencer, and I can’t wait to channel the colorful, eclectic, and oh-so Y2K-coded aesthetic at the Hilary Duff concert this year.
When Is the Hilary Duff Tour?
Hilary Duff’s world tour—officially titled, “The Lucky Me Tour,” which supports her new album, luck… or something—begins June 22, 2026, in West Palm Beach, Florida, and concludes in Mexico City, Mexico on February 12, 2027. The 2026-27 tour covers the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, and Mexico, and you can still snag tickets from StubHub, Vivid Seats, and SeatGeek.
What to Wear to a Hilary Duff Concert
Once you secure tickets, your next step is to figure out what to wear to a Hilary Duff concert. “Nostalgia will rule all of the outfit choices,” says fashion stylist and Toronto-based creator, Sara Wells. “Think Lizzie outfits, Stuff by Duff vibes, and very 2002 to 2004—lots of accessories and maximalist vibes.”
If you don’t want to fully lean into the Y2K era, Wells recommends choosing one or two pieces to build an outfit around. “Maybe hip huggers with a more modern top and minimal accessories,” she says. “I start with my statement piece—whether it’ll be a poncho, bandana, or studded jeans, and go from there.”
I’m also planning to go to the Hilary Duff concert in Los Angeles this summer and will use it as an excuse to embody my Limited Too-loving, Claire’s-dwelling preteen self. While I haven’t landed on an outfit just yet, a Lizzie McGuire color palette featuring lime green, purple, pink, yellow, and bright blue is on my mental mood board. I likely won’t skip out on the excuse to bedazzle my hair in accessories, whether that be a fluttering butterfly clip , several star-shaped snap clips , or rhinestone hair tattoos (this Hally Hair Gem Pen is also a contender).
In addition to these Hilary Duff concert outfit ideas, Wells says we’ll likely see a lot of people going full send on a Lizzie McGuire cosplay with cartoon Lizzie, as well as looks inspired by Isabella from The Lizzie McGuire Movie. “I’ve seen this with over 2000s artists who are on a comeback tour—people love to see the nostalgic, iconic fits (me included).” Creating the Lizzie McGuire costume is actually super easy, too. You just need four items: a pair of cropped blue pants, a hot pink tank top , orange platform sandals , and a yellow bob , which you can find almost entirely on Amazon for a last-minute concert outfit.
