Are Sydney & Xzavier from Temptation Island Still Together? ‘We’ll See Where It Goes’
Sydney McGregor was dating her college sweetheart, Mikey Bivens, for a year and a half when she decided to sign them up for Temptation Island. While her goal was for them to develop a deeper connection, Sydney ended up catching feelings for tempter Xzavier Odom.
They grew close over the course of Season 2, and by the final bonfire, they admitted they were falling in love with each other and even left the island together. Now, it’s been a few months since filming wrapped on Netflix’s hit reality dating series, but are Sydney and Xzavier still together? Here’s what they’ve said about their relationship.
Are Sydney & Xzavier from Temptation Island still together?
As of now, Sydney and Xzavier are trying to repair their relationship. They initially split just four days after leaving the island, and during that time apart, Sydney briefly rekindled things with Mikey. When that fizzled out and Sydney finally got closure, she reached out to Xzavier.

She recalled the situation in an April 13 interview with Swooon: “I was like, ‘I’m probably the last person you want to talk to.’ I was like, ‘But would you be open to having a conversation over coffee? I just really want to talk to you, tell you everything that went down, and tell you that I still really care about you, and I still have real feelings for you, and see where that goes.’ And he responded, he was like, ‘Yeah, I’m open to that.'”
Xzavier told the outlet that, when he saw Sydney’s message, he felt “nothing but love.” He said that he’s “someone who, when I express love and heartfelt feelings, it’s unconditional. So we continued to stay friends, and I was pretty happy to start just talking with her again.”
Sydney shared further details about their meeting during the first part of the Temptation Island Season 2 reunion, revealing that she told Xzavier she was working on herself and “trying to process everything that happened” in her relationship with Mikey. Xzavier was “very understanding and still very caring,” which Sydney claimed was “hard” for her to believe.
“Somebody could go through that experience with me, come out of the villa, and I’m like, ‘Well, I’m going to go back to my ex, who you helped me get through that relationship on the show,'” she continued. “So, it was just crazy for him to be open to the opportunity of seeing where it could go again.”
Sydney and Xzavier told Swooon that they’re now maintaining a long distance dynamic while continuing to work things out—but Sydney is considering leaving North Carolina and moving to Los Angeles to be with Xzavier.
“I’m very big on just being with my person, and then doing whatever it is, if it’s a walk on the beach, if it’s a picnic, like whatever it is. Just doing things with him is what I’m really looking forward to,” she explained. “And it’s been really hard not being in the same area or the same space anymore, so my goal is to move to LA and move out there, and we’ll see where it goes from there.”
